Our History – 80+ Years of Service to North Carolina Movers

Since 1934 when Steele & Vaughn was born, we have been focusing our attention on providing quality service and creating happy customers. Take a moment to look where we’ve come from and where we are going. of the best in the industry and are ready to serve.

1930s
- Steele & Vaughn opened in downtown Greensboro just a few hundred feet from our current location.
- Specialized in radio repairs
1950s
- Began selling and repairing black and white televisions
- Added selling and servicing national brands of major appliances
1960s
- Began selling and servicing console stereo players, color television, built-in appliances, side-by-side refrigerators and other home appliances
1970s
- Changes in electronics started happening fast and furious. Cassette recorders, walk-mans, etc.
- 1979, started renting home furnishings
1980s & 1990s
- Selling and servicing CD players, micro electronics, affordable microwave ovens, and computerized everything including stoves and refrigerators
- 1997, opened our residential / commercial moving division
